Pictures of our live performance on 12-12-10 at De Lakei are online and you can find them here.
We had a short interview with LiveProg @ De Lakei (12-12-10):
1-4-ALL ALL-4-1 - The Interviews
Helmond, December 12, 2010 - A unique festival, where four talented young progbands performed. These bands all have released excellent albums, in most cases their debut album, in 2010. The first band that performed on the festival was Penny's Twisted Flavour. Despite the fact the lost their singer two weeks prior to the festival, they came, changed their set and played a great show.
Live Prog got a chance to speak to them backstage in between performances.
Also there are a few reviews of our performance. One of them is from Background Magazine:
The opening act of the festival was Penny's Twisted Flavour doing an instrumental set, because their vocalist had left the band only two weeks before the festival. However, they managed to perform a medley of some of their songs plus the two instrumental pieces from their debut album Sketches (see review). They told me they have plans with a new vocalist, so let's wait what the next album will have in store for us. I was very impressed by the way PTF performed the instrumental versions. I think Penny's Twist should be nominated as the best instrumental piece of the year! What a great performance! To be honest, I didn't miss a vocalist at all during this outstanding set. PTF really rocked the house down. Hats off for the band and especially for the fast fingers of guitarist Mark Bogert!

It is with regret that we announce that Marc Mes, our vocalist and friend, has decided to leave our band Penny's Twisted Flavour at once.
Due to several reasons he was not able to combine PTF with his personal life anymore. All of us wish Marc and his family the best! As for PTF, we will perform the gigs that are scheduled as an instrumental band with an instrumental twist to the songs until we find a new singer. And as planned, we will start writing and recording our new album in the beginning of 2011.

First item of this news update is the "wereldse 10" from progwereld. Last month our album Sketches was still on the 15th place. This month it has risen to the 4th place! Therefore we would like to thank everyone that has voted for us, and we hope you keep voting for us so we might end up on the 1st place.
Besides the good news of our album rising in "de wereldse 10", Sketches has received several reviews from over the world! The first one is from The Laser's Edge. An American record label that is selling our CD in their webshop. The second one that appeared was on the German website of Just For Kicks Music. And the site of Pop Unie also made a review of our CD Sketches. Even more reviews can be found on PTFlavour.com in the "press" section.

The first article about Penny’s Twisted Flavour has appeared on Progwereld.org
The dutch progressive rock band Penny’s Twisted Flavour (PTF) will soon release their long awaited debut album “Sketches”. PTF is not just another Dutch progrock band, but they show a very high international progallure (your news editor has had the opportunity to listen to the album already and is very impressed...). Even Ton Scherpenzeel (Kayak, Camel) has made a contribution to “Sketches”...
